How do I update my payment method?

If the card on your Money Matters account has expired, been replaced, or you simply want billing to use a different card, the payment method on the account needs to be updated.

On this page

How billing is authorised

The published Terms & Conditions explain that enrolling in a recurring plan authorises the payment method you provided to be charged for the selected package and again every 30 days until the subscription is cancelled. Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor and appear on your statement as themoney-matters.com.

Because billing follows the stored card, an out-of-date card can cause a renewal payment to fail.

Change the card on your account

Sign in to the account dashboard on themoney-matters.com and check the billing details held against your account. If you can’t sign in, see Account or Login Help first.

Ask us to update it

Submit an Update Payment Method request and include:

  • The email address registered on the account
  • Whether the current card expired, was replaced, or was declined
  • Optionally, the first 6 and last 4 digits of the card currently on file — these help us match the account faster

Never send your full card number, expiry date, or security code. We reply by email.
